Parking Space

During discussions, it is often important to stay focused on what you are currently discussing, but it is usually equally important to reassure people that their topics will be discussed later on because with this tool you will remember them.

Procedure

  • Parking Space takes 1-2 minutes to set up and is useful for any number of people: Whenever anything comes up that’s not relevant to the discussion at hand, “park” it in the parking space (a large sheet of paper on the wall).
  • This allows you to stay focused but reassures participants they will be heard.
  • Consider having an item noted in the workshop schedule or meeting agenda to cover parked items.
